An electric love letter

The sweetest, most romantic love letters my husband ever gave me were never written on paper.

But boy was he one for gestures that mean the world.

Because today he flattened hills for me.

Test-driving our upgraded Babboe bike

Not long ago, we made the big move to a new, hilly city. And it's been a pain to haul my 2 kids in our 3-year-old Babboe bike to parks, music classes, and the city center for the usual errands and for fun.

My legs burned and I dreaded cycling up the hills with a 60-kg bike loaded with me + my 2 kids.

I mentioned it to him once and he very quickly found a solution and arranged to get our well-loved cargo bike to be upgraded with an electric motor.

So I want to remember today -- the very first day of summer -- as the day my husband wrote me one of the most touching love letters I'll never read because it's all felt every time I ride on the hills he flattened for me.
